Multiplayer Gamified Experience Activation at Salesforce Dreamforce Event Showcases Ford Customer Success Story

For the latest Salesforce Dreamforce activation, GPJ (George P. Johnson) asked Groove Jones to help them create an interactive, multiplayer gameshow to highlight Ford’s customer success story. The interactive game show was centered on telling the story of a customer and their experience getting their dream car, a Ford Mach-E.

The experience was a part narrative story and part game show.

The show’s star was a spokesperson who talked about their experience learning about the Ford Mach-E and how they eventually went on a test drive in the vehicle.

On the stage was an actual Ford Mach-E that rotated around on a stage. Behind the vehicle was an oversized LED wall that showed animations and visuals as the spokesperson told their story.

The spokesperson held a mobile App that they used to control the product demonstration and the multiplayer game that observers could play.

A Multiplayer Game Show

Around the stage were four digital touchscreen stations, where players participated in the game show. As the spokesperson talked about their story, players would see additional animations and elements on their screen that correspond with the main LED.

When she spoke about customizing her car, the icons and artwork would appear on the smaller screens as well.

The LED wall provided the backdrop to the stories she told. The Groove Jones team created the 3D environments with subtle animations for a polished, high-end look and feel.

Along the way, icons would build up on the screen for the user to pay close attention to. The icons correlated to the story highlighted some of the key attributes of the Salesforce and Ford platforms, like the Sales Cloud Icon, Tableau Icon, and Marketing Cloud Icon.

For the game, players had a limited amount of time to arrange the icons in the order they appeared in the story.

Players received points for correctly placed icons.

At the end of the experience, the spokesperson ends up getting into their newly purchased Ford and driving off into the sunset. (Which Groove Jones digitally created.)
