FX Networks used our XR Avatar Scanner volumetric camera system for the FX3D Me popup at the FXHIBITION event at Comic-con in San Diego. Fans would create custom GIFs and movies by integrating their scan into a personalized scene from FX television shows. They also had the chance to win 3D statues of their scan.

Attendees had the unique opportunity to create personalized GIFs and movies by integrating their scans into customized scenes from some of their favorite FX shows. The experience brought a new level of interactivity and engagement, as fans could see themselves directly in the action and share these creations with others.
The system is simple: you enter the scanner and strike a pose. The scanner then captures your 3D data while taking multiple pictures of your body using over 90 cameras. The system then creates a 3D animation that you can share with your friends. Fans could select from a variety of hit FX Network television show themes to drop their 3d scan into.

FX 3D-Me Sweepstakes – Win A 3D Statuette of Yourself
Part of the fan experience was a sweep component, where we gave away miniaturized figure statues of a select number of fans who attended the event. Participants who shared their movie or GIF videos on Instagram or Twitter with #fx3dmesweepstakes were entered into a sweepstakes to win a figurine of themselves.
