Event Marketer 2022 Experience Design Technology Awards – Best Metaverse/Immersive Experience
The Event Marketer Experience Design Technology Awards recognizes the best use of design, social media, and technology to enhance live experiences.
A panel of brand-side judges reviewed applications across 23 categories to select the finalists and winners based on criteria that examined the tool or approach, the creativity, the execution, and the results. The work that Groove Jones did for August Jackson and their client Elkay was recognized at this year’s award.
We were awarded the Bronze Award in the Best Metaverse/Immersive Experience category for our work with August Jackson and their client, Elkay.

Coming off a successful showing at KBIS 2020, Elkay was looking for a digital solution to build on the positive momentum from its in-person experience. The Elkay Virtual Neighborhood came knocking as an interactive product showcase, bringing together five unique houses, each featuring a different Elkay product. The product’s features and benefits were highlighted through video, photo galleries, custom interactivity, and infographics, allowing attendees to choose their own adventure as they virtually strolled through the neighborhood.
About the Event Marketer’s EDTA (Event Marketer’s Experience Design Technology Awards)
The EDTAs recognize outstanding event design and innovative uses of event technology across a wide variety of consumer-targeted and business-to-business event formats.
